Welcome to Specialty Physical Therapy: Excellence and Integrity in the Land of Healing!

After 15 years of phenomenal experience at Temple University Hospital and Moss Rehabilitation in Philadelphia, I returned to the area and began working for a private company owned by a pair of amazing brothers. When they sold their company, I found myself working for a corporation that bought out by another corporation and then another. Increasingly, I found myself going head-to-head with administration on four key concepts…1) patients weren’t the top priority, money was; 2) staff were being treated disrespectfully and were being devalued; 3) the community was supporting us but we weren’t supporting our community, and 4) students had to pay to complete their internships with us. God was nowhere to be found! I hit my breaking point when they wanted to have me continue my same responsibilities and patient care but without my title and benefits. I knew that if these corrupt corporations with their marginal and misguided practices could run a business, I…with a moral compass, smart business practices and a foundation of God…definitely could! Specialty Physical Therapy was born!

My children and I built Specialty Physical Therapy on a foundation of God and family with those  former frustrations becoming the four pillars on which we built our company: 1) patients will be the priority, 2) staff will be treated well, 3) we will give back to our community, and 4) any student of any age can come and be mentored or complete their internships. We did not anticipate the COVID Pandemic, but we completed the build-out on our BEAUTIFUL clinic and opened our doors to the public in June of 2000! And despite COVID, we met every one of our goals that first year! We have been in business for 5 years now and have grown in reputation, services and patient population with each year.
